Manage agents and workflows

Change an agent's instructions and plan, edit a workflow and its versions, compare pass rates, and pause or remove work.

Agents and workflows belong to the workspace, so everyone in it sees the same ones and can change them. This page covers where to change each one, and what happens to a workflow's versions when you do.

Problems this solves

ProblemWhat Kavela does
Changing a working automation breaks it, with no way backEvery change is a new version with its own pass rate, and any earlier version can be restored
You can't tell whether a change made things betterKavela compares two versions run by run once each has 10 checked runs
Handing an automation to a teammate or clientWorkflows, files and connections belong to the workspace, so anyone you invite works with the same ones

How changes become versions

Change made byWhat happens
You, on the pageA new version, live at once
You, asking Kav in chatA new version, live at once, with a note on what changed
Kav's own suggestion, or a comment on a stepA proposal you accept or dismiss
An unattended runA proposal, unless the workspace is set to Autonomous

Restoring an earlier version creates a new version with that version's words, so the history keeps every step.

Compare versions

Each version keeps its own record, for example "v4: 8 of 10 passed, 2 didn't finish", with the checklist line it missed most. Compare two runs or two versions side by side to see the changed words and the changed checklist. Kavela says whether a version did better or worse only once both versions have 10 checked runs.
